Description Sebastian was right about his siblings not staying for too long. Reggie and Angela had left about an hour after dragging Sebastian from his fraternity house. They ate breakfast together, informing one another about what each sibling had missed in the past two weeks. Pan sat across from the three of them, talking amongst her own friends for she could barely keep up with the Austin’s conversation.
She had noticed Reggie smirk at her, every now and then, then look back to Sebastian with the same expression. Sebastian would give his older brother a dirty look each time. She kicked Sebastian, finally, glaring as he looked over to her.
“Be nice,” she said under her breath.
“But he-”
Pan continued with the same look and Sebastian could only smile in defeat. She smiled slightly, too, looking back and continuing to talk with her girl friends about how their teachers were all out to get them by giving them too much homework every day.
Angela, being a sociable and friendly girl, gave every girl a large hug before she left. Once she reached Pan she gave her an extra long one, whispering, “Keep an eye on him,” to her.
Pan shrugged as she pulled away. “What’s there to keep an eye on?” she asked.
Angela didn’t exactly answer as she backed up to the Chevy Optra. She just lifted both her hands, bending them at the elbow and shaking them, but Pan just thought she was waving goodbye.
Reggie shoved another paper grocery bag into Sebastian’s arms before he slid into the drivers seat. “I’ll see you in two weeks brother,” Reggie said, winking. Sebastian just shook his head, already plotting a better escape plan for that next time.
“Selene and Rox are going to be angry when they find out that they missed seeing Angela,” Pan said going on her tiptoes to peek into Sebastian’s grocery bag. Sebastian moved it away as she was about to look in and nodded. “Where are they anyways?” she continued.
“They left with that Patrick kid this morning…” Jeremy growled as he ripped his eyes away from the contents of the paper grocery bag.
Nallely attempted at that moment to push her hand into his as he clenched his fist. He looked down to her, loosening his grip and curled his hand around it in slight pleasure. “Please, just one?” he begged in a whisper so no one else would here him.
Nallely pulled her hand away just as Jeremy began to squeeze back. “Not after Warren told me you were cheating on your vegetarianism!” Jeremy’s cocked over to the spot where Warren once stood, but he was already jogging off back to E. Ripmav.
“Sorry,” Jeremy murmured locking in to Nallely’s eyes searching for forgiveness and stroking her cheek. Nallely still glared, however she couldn’t keep it up for too long. It was her utter heart for him. She just couldn’t stay mad at him; not now.

"This little diner in town is said to be a favourite to the locals," Patrick said as he explained where he was taking Selene and Rox. "All 572 of them."
Rox's laugh sounded forced as she giggled at Patrick's remark. But she silenced once she saw Selene’s glare in the cars side mirror. She gave a glare back before she started talking with Patrick once more. "Is that really how many people live here?" she asked.
"Yes."
"But what about the people at the University? There's a lot of kids there."
"The university is technically not in town, so they don’t count the population there. Besides. Kids are always coming and leaving from there. They cant keep changing he population sign."
"Yeah Roxie, they cant keep changing it!" Selene hissed in a sassy tone.
Patrick chucked then began to pull into a tiny parking lot surrounded by willow trees and man-planted hedges.
The skies were dark again today, they were threatening rain. Patrick glanced up into the clouds as he stepped from the car and then looked back at Selene. "Looks like Forks, doesn’t it?" he asked. Selene’s jaw dropped slightly, as did Rox's.
"Did you read Twilight?" Selene asked. Patrick nodded.
"The entire series. Last night," he replied with a smile. "I wanted to see why you girls liked it so much. And now I see why. It's pretty good!"
Selene and Rox giggled. "You are so cool," Rox said. Patrick shrugged and carried on walking towards the diner that looked unchanged since the 50's and laughed while doing so.
"Only if you think so," he said.
It had taken an hour to get into town- -which was strange since town was only 20 minutes from the university. Patrick seemed to use many back roads and long dirt paths that looked unused by common civilization. Both girls had decided, in their minds, that he did so to talk to them longer. And he had talked to them, a lot. As soon as they finished one subject Patrick would transition perfectly into something else. He wanted to know everything about each girl. Everything from their shoe size to their favourite colour...when they were nine.
The diner smelt like burnt burgers, bacon and Coke. It was strange, but still had a pretty appearance. There were two waitresses there. One was talking her heart out to a group of students Selene and Rox recognised from campus and then the other one was on her way to where they stood now.
Her hair was pinned back in a messy bun and she wore a pink apron with many pockets and buttons with funny slogans on it. Underneath the apron she wore a white plain shirt and black pants. In her hand was a pen and a note pad. " 'ello kids where'd you like to si' 'oday?" she asked.
"A window would be nice," Patrick said with a smile.
"Alrigh', follow meh."
The waitress was maybe in her 40's, but she looked younger despite her older and lazy voice not wanting to pronounce many of the easy syllables in words; her accent was a little thicker for a regular Canadian accent, more stereotypical. She led them to a table in the sun, but then pulled the blinds down before any of them had the chance to sit down. She leaned against the table on her forearm. "So wha' can i ge' all of ya?" she asked with a toothy grin.
"A special for me," Patrick said.
"What's a special?" Selene asked.
"A breakfast pla'er with eggs, bacon, taders, and pancakes smothered in our towns personal maple sugar syrup," she exclaimed. She then licked her lips as if she had just eaten it.
"Alright I'll have it too then," said Selene.
"Same here."

Jeremy had decided to take a break -from life- in the university’s library. Nallely had followed him there to read along with him and now sat on his lap. Jeremy read with his arms wrapped around her, his chin on Nallely’s shoulder as she read along with the little novel clipped in Jeremy’s fingers.
“Are you finished this page?” Nallely asked in a whisper. Jeremy nodded and she went to turn the page with her left hand. As it returned to her own lap Jeremy snatched it, rubbing her palm with his thumb, a smile slowly coming over his face as his eyes never left the page.

Pan lay sprawled on her bed, talking to Naomi even though Naomi wasn’t paying attention to Pan’s random subjects. “And I think it wasn’t even a fake photo, I just think it wasn’t the Loch Ness monster; that’s all I’m saying. It was probably just some person with an freakishly long neck,” Pan said pushing herself across the bed with her legs until her head hung off the end. She blinked at Naomi as she continued with her homework that she started the moment she got back into their little home. “Fine don’t listen to my pointless rambling,” Pan said, half laughing.
She then rolled herself from the bed and crawled over to her own desk to do the conclusion paragraph on her Bella Lugosi report. Pan had been putting off the paragraph for a while. She was never good at them.
At that exact moment, of reaching her desk, something began to ring and vibrate by her foot. Pan jumped from her chair sending a sudden, unwanted blood rush to her face and she felt dizzy for a few moments before she could return to investigate the familiar yet foreign sound.
Again Pan was on her hands and knees crawling and disappearing under the desk in search of the ringing noise. Her little purse with the long band…that ring was coming from it.
“Naomi, I didn’t buy a phone and forget did I?” she asked sitting under the desk being short enough that she was just able to sit perfectly straight under it.
“Not that I know of…” Naomi said before Pan heard several papers rustling and the tap of a computer keypad. Pan lifted her little purse to her lap, only now noticing that it matched the colour of a certain someone’s eyes. She popped open the metal clamp and stuck her hand inside it searching for the still ringing object that would feel different compared to all the other junk she kept in her purse; things like chap stick, her ipod, a mini hair brush, a yoyo…hospital papers…
Once Pan got her mystery ringing object she quickly squeezed back out from the desk and crawled over to Naomi. “Answer it, would you? I don’t know how…” she said sheepishly.
Naomi pressed her lips together in an odd smile, shaking her head as she flipped it open then passed it back. “That’s all I have to do?” Pan asked. Naomi nodded then turned back to her work.
“Hello?” Pan asked into the phone, laying down to the ground.
Nothing. No answer. Just the sound of a blank line. Pan’s eyebrows furrowed. She pushed the phone back up to Naomi, holding her hand in the air as she continued her time on the floor.
“How do you turn it off?” Pan asked.
“Hold down the red button,” Naomi grumbled.
Pan looked back to the phone, scanning it for a little while until her eyes found the little red button saying ‘off’. She pressed it and then shut her eyes. The floor felt strangely comfortable today.
