"We're Ghooooots! Aren't you scared?"Here they are, the newly completed Maitland masks that I sculpted for Halloween.
Both are sculpted out of blue construction foam, painted with acrylics.

Thanks so much! We were actually LOOKING for someone dressed as Beetlejuice when we went out and we went and tapped them on the shoulder. It made their night. One thing that always weirded me out a little bit was the large number of WOMEN who go as Beetlejuice. What's the appeal?
Also in regard to non-beetlejuice costume, you know those Chinese dragon costumes with the guys inside? We were thinking about doing one of those as a Sandworm.

Thanks! Hey while I got you here, I figured I would ask a question: Why do so many ladies go as Beetlejuice? This year we encountered two in the parade and they were both women...Black women. And that got me thinking back to previous years and more often than not, women are usually Beetlejuice. What is the appeal?

The adam mask took about 5 hours to carve, Barbara about 6-7. Painting was another hour or so, so I woulsd say around 8-9 hours each.
