Name: Korik, Cook, Cookie, The Cook

Age: 18

Personality: Reserved, not competitive, intelligent, cunning, witty, sneaky, tedious, contemplative, and contrastly can be very malicious and violent at points. Also a bit of a "ladies man", in terms of that old fashioned badass gentleman; he's extremely polite and praising, effortlessly handing out compliments to women. Females find him attractive in that he's tough and rebellious, yet polite and refined. He's a smooth talker.

Back Story: Korik’s family is powerful in the underground situation. His parents are both highly respected leaders and water benders. As a result, Korik spent all of his life thus far in preparing and proceeding with initiation into the gang. The tattoos are a result of such. With each step taken into the gang, you receive a new tattoo. While completing a “mission” to get a new tattoo, he’s caught and arrested, being sentenced to a month in jail along with a term of community service. While completeing his community service at the Pro-Bending Arena, he is called upon by his case manager to help out a team in trouble. He is to participate and help the Ferrets through their matches until a proper replacement is found; he receives no part of the winnings. As he continues to practice and participate with the brothers, he feels more at home and part of a family; more so than in his gang, around his own family. He eventually decides to stay for good and abandon his gang and family.

Nickname: Was deemed "the Cook" for his habit of bringing home dames and making them dinner or dessert; also because his most famous "run" was disguising himself as a restaurant employee and poisoning a rival gang member's food.

Alliances: Korik gets along splendidly with both brothers. At first the relationships are strained, as a result of how they are brought together. However, Korik’s intelligence as well as his ability to work cooperatively with a team eventually allow them to settle into a comfortable friendship. He appreciates Bolin’s optimism, and often goes out of his way to prepare home made water tribe food for him. He shows indifference to Mako’s initial hostility, and eventually Mako “softens” up and comes to accept him, especially after he announces he left the gang in an effort to join their team permanently.

I was nervous about the tattoos at first, because I wasn't sure how common they were outside of the master airbenders; luckily there's a whole article here on the Avatar Wiki about Tattoos in the Avatar world, which apparently happen to be quite common: [link]

I was at a loss for a name for a while; apparently it's really difficult to find Native American/Pacific Islander/Inuit names that end in "k" or have an "ah" sound, characteristics typical of Water tribe names. Finally I narrowed it down to " Pirtuk" and "Konik", then ended up with "Korik" because I misspelled his name while saving the file xD But it works! Huzzah! His clothes are a bit of a mix between traditional garb and "modern" gangster.
