hmmm, this seems to remind me more of the nine tailed fox from naruto than smeagol. but excellent work.

Yay creatures! I like-a this guy. I really like the semi cross hatching for shading. It's nice.

The shadows make him look so real and substantial! Swell pose and composition, too. I love spindly monster things. ;_;

Whoa! That thing is so long and lanky! It's slightly creepy. And it's face too...But I say a nice effect in the air. I'd hate to ever encounter something like that. It's like a monster version of Golem...well...more monster-like version...

Whereas, I am reading through Two Towers again as my wind-down-before-bed book.
And even though he's supposed to be vaguely hobbitlike, this thing made me think of Smeagol off the bat. When I read The Hobbit for the first time, I envisioned him as some kinda frogman, so why not?
Oh. And I'm digging the rocks.

Everyone needs a good wind-down-before-bed book. I just finished the Brother Bear art book last night.
And yeah, there's some blatant Gollum-feel to this guy. Though, I actually had a lot of the concept sketches for the orcs in mind when I did this. They were gonna make them all animal-like and awesome at first.

It's true - this guy looks way too tough to be a skulking Ring addict.
Animalistic Orcs woulda been dang cool. Though... the heavily Maori Uruk-Hai from the films were definitely awesome as-is.
