This is really beautiful. I love your elementary imagery. I can completely relate to your 2nd to last stanza. Wind and rain soothe me in a way nothing else can. I truly love this.

Heh. A gradient top to bottom and some added brushes. Not a whole lot to this one.
People look at me strange when I go out in the rain barefoot and just stand there getting wet. My parents have seen me do it a huge number of times, and they still get this odd look on their faces.

During a thunderstorm when I was 10, my grandmother walked in and said to me "Horrible day we're having out there!" I wasn't really thinking and I just said. "I think it's beautiful." She got kind of mad, guess she thought I was being a smart-a$$.
I have no clue how to use brushes, so I'm still impressed.

Brushes are easy once you get used to them. Have you tried a design program like Photoshop or GIMP?

I haven't...I'm intimidated. I can brighten and sharper, etc in photoshop and do some minor crops and copy-and-paste edits, but that's it.
