Hi everyone ! what's up ?I felt a bit guilty for posting a WIP knowing that I would probably never post the finished version so I decided to do another fanart of the Halo saga so I can share it with you.
This is my Noble 6 looking at Reach soon being taken by the Covenant. (Halo Reach game)
You know what, I discovered how touching this game could be which I find very rare for an FPS kind of game...I nearly cried more than once. It's one of the best XBOX exclusive game ever !
And Sci-fi kind of paintings are really fun to do, I love playin with the colors and stuffs. The sky was very awesome to make.

l'espace est vraiment super cool à dessiner, ça donne tellement de possibilités. Je trouve els photographies de galaxies tellement magnnifique. ça me rappelle un peu ma jeunesse quand on faisait des fêtes avec mes potes dans des granges paumées au milieu de la montagne sans pollution lumineuse, le ciel était vraiment sublime.

Oui c'est clair ! En montagne ce doit être magnifique en effet *.* !!! la voie lactée doit être particulièrement bien visible.

Definately. I have almost cried, too. Have you ever been able to activate subtitles for it? Once you figure out how to do that, play mission "New Alexandria". Once you finish the mission, watch the ending cutscene TO THE END!!! Anyone who has seen or heard what the civilians are saying in the cutscene will know what I'm talking about. No, I'm not crazy and I'm not kidding.

And I'm really happy that you like the painting ; as I explained, I generally more about Middle-Age/Fantasy kind of things so trying to paint something like that was some sort of huge leap of faith

J'aime bien le style du casque. Par contre les Spartans ne sont pas des robots comme tu les appelle (apparemment) dans un de tes commentaires plus bas, mais des supersoldats biologiquement modifiés. ^^

I feel like I reached a new step in my work. my style never stopped changing through the years and I can feel that I'm somewhere else now compared to my usual fantasy drawings. There's something different... It's interesting.

yeah maybe...or I take more risks. Sometimes I go away from my classical drawing people skill to express new kinds of things like backgrounds. I work more on backgrounds too and they are less realistic as well. More colorful etc. ...

Getting an Xbox 360 is kinda out of the question since I have already a PS3, but who knows- maybe in the next generation of consoles I'll stick with microsoft. Or they'll decide that the PC is not yet dead and release a port there

well, too bad, I tend to prefer Xbox compared to the PS3...probably because of all the exclusive games we have for the Xbox360 while the only exclusive for sony would be the Final Fantasy saga but since I don't like the new games...

I know, I know... Problem is, I chose the Ps3 mainly because some of my favourite series, like Metal Gear Solid, Killzone God of war Series, were exclusively there. I really hate this "exclusive" policy though. Why not make games that everyone can play?
But anyway, speaking of FF: you dont actually miss anything great, trust me. So far, I regret even picking FXIII from the store.

yeah I know...Final Fantasy XIII was one of the greatest dispointment in my gamer life... everybody speaks about how beautiful it is a stuff...I agree, it looks awesome but the story is laaaaame, it is way too easy compared to all of of the old FF games I've played ! awful !
You know what ? I was hesitating between a PS3 and an Xbox360...I took the Xbox after I knew that FFXIII would be released on this console...damn it, I really wanted to play this game -___-' (fortunatly, there are excellent games outsode the Final Fantasy saga)

Halo Reach is the absolute best. I am angry of "343 Industries" and Microsoft Studios implying that is it not a Halo game unless Master Chief is in it.

I'm nto into the saga enough to have an opinion about the "too much John 117" thing. I like him but it's true that I prefer Halo Reach because I can easily identify myself with Noble Six because I feel like it's MY character.

you should try Reach one of these days because it's really worth it. Actually the interesting part is that the game takes place right before the Halo trilogy so you kinda already know the fate of the planet and your friends and the other Spartans.
So, you will not be surprised if I tell you that the battle for Reach is already lost, that the planet is indeed condemned and will inevitably fall, whatever you do.
Disaster, of course, but the fact is that this fact has allowed Bungie and the developers to let go and create for his game an atmosphere which is much heavier and more mature than other parts of the series.
The staging, sometimes grandiose, often leaves the player as a powerless witness to the terrible acts of destruction. All the sacrifices and heroism portrayed in the campaign take a tragic tinge that Halo we had not used.
Basically, the first, the most unexpected and most successful of the surprises of Reach, it is certainly being able to touch the player, to involve him (meee) in an emotional level...

Funny thing is... I started playing this about an hour after I sent that post! I ended up spending the day with my friend doing it co-op.

I'm glad you agree about all of what I said with that game and even more that you're having fun (a depressing game...why playing it if there's no fun).

I think that if I was playing by myself it'd be a lot sadder.. it was a lot less depressing with a friend there. Also, I was terribly sad about Jorge... He was such a nice guy, and I hated the fact that we couldn't do anything! I was sitting there going "no! Don't do that! You can't do that!"
Also, I wish, I have halo reach for the xbox360 and I don't have an online profile there but I do play online on the ps3 and my gamer tag there is the same as my dA name.

This is a really nice piece of work. Not being a Xbox fan, I have never played the Halo games, though I have seen plenty of fan-based work. The colors in the section outside look great, and the world itself is just beautiful. The details on the human are really well done, too.
