I finally finished her!!!
The dress is made of chiffon, which was painted with craft paints. Design on the skirt and veil is hand-embroidery and glass beads. Flower crown on the veil is made of silk roses aged with craft paints, vinyl leaves, and several types of glass beads.
The shoes were the defaults that came with the CAM skeleton set, but aged a bit with blushing.
MH Ghoulia customization with repainted CAM skeleton parts.
Mods include sculpting upper arm bones, hacking away shoulder, part of leg, chest, and face to sculpt new bones, construction of a new shoulder joint, breast enhancement, removal of nose to sculpt skeletal nose, repaint, body blush, and reroot.
All mods and paint by me.

Acrylics and craft paint work the best, and also watercolor pencils. I highly recommend you check out retrogradeworks's youtube channel. She has lots of awesome videos showing how she does her amazing monster high repaints. www.youtube.com/user/retrogradβ¦

And, this proves that my plan is possible; I'm going to (one day xD) repaint a Ghoulia into Sally from Nightmare Before Christmas

I honestly can't remember what she sold for...she was sent to her new home about a year ago...but I do remember it was quite a pretty penny.
This doll took a loooong time and was a ton of work, even though I did enjoy making her. I currently have no plans to make another one. I pretty much just do these projects for fun and then sell them when I'm done with them so I can have money to keep making more. lol.
However, if I decide to open up commissions at some point, I will make a post and a journal about it and give the pertinent details there.

Was it difficult to sculpt the new joints? I'm planning on modding a ghoulia to emily myself!

It was a royal pain, but not quite as bad as I was afraid it would be. The elbow was easy... just clipped the elbow piece a tiny bit so that it would fit into the other socket. The shoulder had to be completely rebuilt. The best thing I could figure was to take one of those q-tips that has the plastic tube in the middle (not the kind made on the little paper stick) and cut a piece of that, and force the joint piece into it. Then sculpt the shoulder around that whole thing, and make sure you don't move it at all until it's dry. That way once it's all set up and hardened, you'll be able to rotate the arm slightly in the new shoulder socket, so that it can pose normally.
I'm not great at explaining these things... but hopefully you can figure it out. lol. Hope it helped somewhat anyway!
