This is a monotype with lino on top. I was going for a romantic feel in this one and I'm pretty happy with how it came out.This print is now available on etsy!

Mixing techniques can be a lot of fun. Unless you are worried about tight registration... Then you might just have an attack of technical difficulties.

I hadn't done a print of trees in a long time when I did this one and it was such a pleasure to work with my favorite subject again. I haven't done anything else for a while. Thanks for the compliment!

Excellent work. I was just trying out monotyping for the first time recently. Nothing this ambitious, though. I love the warm color scheme.

The monotyping was actually pretty straightforward. I did 2 runs one of the pinkish orange and another blueish layer so I didn't get muddy colors. I sort of rolled it on the plexi and then smudged it around with mineral spirits. You should give it a go if it interests you... only if you have good ventilation I was about to die after printing an edition of 10.

yeah there's a pretty good vent system at the print shop here, but some stuff smells pretty noxious.

At UGA we just moved to a new building with terrible ventilation so I think about vents a lot more than I should.

I have heard varying levels of satisfaction from different departments, but as for myself-- I feel like I am getting a quality education and have access to the best facilities and a great community of creative minds. 
I'll be posting some of my printmaking work as soon as I finish putting up this latest series.
Photo majors have to take either Drawing III or Intro to Printmaking, and since I loved it in high school, I jumped at the opportunity to learn more about printing here at SCAD. I really loved the building and the people... such a great atmosphere, so fun.
