Description
When: February 5, 2022
Where: Zooparc Overloon, the Netherlands
It was winter, so (naturally) not a hot day. But still, the Vultures took turns taking a bath. It's a very cool event to witness - which we caught on slow-motion video too!
After a bath, it's time to dry. Wings spread, and go for it
I say "go for it" but you probably understand nothing much happens at this stage; it's a waiting game. After that, grooming those feathers back into place.
Species: Griffon Vulture (Vale gier)
Latin name: Gyps fulvus
Originates from Europe, the Middle east and Africa.
Current status: Least Concern
