I think this young pup had been digging his nose a bit too deep in the ground before he found this nice place to rest. He's got dirt not only on his nose, but even ringed around his face, all the way over his eyes, nearly up to his ears
It's really tricky when you're not overly tall (about 5'3) and don't have any ways to get on top of something to look over annoying bits of grass. Hope it doesn't ruin the photo for you; it doesn't for me

Latin name: Canis Lupus Hudsonicus
Originates from Hudson Bay.
Current status: Not evaluated, but considered Endangered

…The Hudson Bay Wolf is often called Tundra Wolf, which is an entirely different subspecies of the Gray Wolf, while they in fact similar to the Mackenzie Valley Wolf, only smaller.
