There's something utterly mesmerizing about Snow Leopards
Seeing this beauty again - and in the same spot as last year, though lying down - was a real treat!
Species: Snow Leopard (Sneeuwluipaard)
Latin name: Uncia Uncia
Originates from Central Asia.
Current status: Vulnerable

When I get enough points I am so buying this one too. I bought "He'll Break Your Heart" as my main desktop on my computer. I really love it. My mom melted when she saw him and I told her that I HAD to buy it. But this one I will so buy as well once I get the points to. When I do This one will become my new desktop background.

She's high up on the ledge, but it's a bit of a distance away and I took it from behind glass so the angle turned out well

They truly are mesmerizing. Personally, I have a soft spot for tigers, because of a dream when I was 12, but these guys come a very close second in big cats!

To be completely honest, it took years before I was even aware Snow Leopards (and Clouded Leopards for that matter) existed because there's little attention for them here and they're not in any Dutch zoo. When it's not near, it's like nobody really pays attention to them... But since visiting zoos and keeping an eye on them on social media and ZooBorns, they're quickly become a favorite of mine too
