Description
When: July 15, 2020
Where: Zoo Veldhoven, The Netherlands
Ever since we saw one of these Birds for the first time, we've had a weak spot for them
This is an entirely different individual, but he sure proved why we love them so. He was showing off his flying skills while not actually flying
He stayed on this very rock, and flapped his wings
Species: Black-Chested Buzzard-Eagle (Grijze arendbuizerd of chili arend)
Latin name: Geranoaetus Melanoleucus
Originates from South America.
Current status: Least Concern
Did you know:
...When perched, the wings cover the tail almost completely, giving it a unique, near-tailless appearance.
