Where: Kölner Zoo Köln/Cologne, Germany

Many of the outdoor aviaries are surrounded by lavender bushes, which attracts heaps and heaps of Bees and Bumblebees and other flying insects.

We do love Bumblebees of all sorts - they are so cute and fuzzy and clumsy and it's lovely to see them get drunk on nectar.

Which isn't very smart, because the bushes are also surrounding the aviary of the *gasp* Bee-Eaters... When one Bee ventures inside, it's over and done with.
