Originates from South Asia.

Current status: Least Concern

…The Brown Wood Owl has several sub-species, such as the Himalayan Wood-Owl, Bartel’s Wood-Owland Javan Wood-Owl, which all look and sound different.

…It’s call can variate from “(hoo) hoo hoo HOO” to a deep “goke-goke-ga-LOOO” or even a loud scream.
