Duckling season - or really, just baby animal season in general - is my favorite time of year! We love seeing thuse cute fluffballs wherever we go

Species: Mallard or Wild Duck (Wilde eend)

Latin name: Anas Platyrhynchos

Originates from the temperate and subtropical Americas, Europe, Asia and North Africa, and has been introduced to New Zealand and Australia.

Current status: Least Concern
