Fan Xing was keeping a close eye on everyone - and it sometimes looked as if he was really looking at us specifically - and it made for a great experience for many.
Species: Giant Panda [Bear] (Reuzenpanda)
Latin name: Ailuropoda Melanoleuca
Originates from south central China.
Current status: Vulnerable

…It’s Latin name – Ailuropoda Melanoleuca – literally means “black and white cat-foot”, and it’s Chinese name literally translates to “big bear cat”.
…The name “Panda” was originally used solely for the Red Panda, but when
the two were thought to be related, the Panda name was adapted to include Giant and Red to distinguish the two. Till 1901, the Giant Panda was actually known as the “Black And White Cat-Footed Animal”.
