Here... she... comes!

It was such a cool and fun moment - and a challenge! - when she came straight for us and we tried to photograph it.

Species: Asiatic Reticulated Python (Netpython)

Latin name: Python Reticulatus

Originates from Southeast Asia.

Current status: Not Evaluated.

…The Asiatic Reticulated Python are the world’s longest snakes and longest reptile – though not the most heavily built.

…It is a nonvenomous constrictor; this does not mean it can not kill a human – though reports are few and far between.

…The Asiatic Reticulated Python are excellent swimmers, and have been reported far out at sea. The species is even known to have colonized many small islands within its range.

…It’s Latin name actually means net-like, hence reticulated, referring to its complex color pattern.
