When Hercules was still young, he loved to be outdoors. As he grew older - and the weather grew warmer - he actually stayed mostly indoors, holed up in a little basket.

Species: Ocelot (Ocelot)

Latin name: Leopardus Pardalis

Originates from the southwestern United States, Mexico, Central and South America, and the Caribbean Islands of Trinidad and Margarita.

Current status: Least Concern

Did you know:

…Each Ocelot has a unique color pattern, which can be used to identify individuals.

…They can be easily confused with the Margay and the Oncilla – though the Ocelot is noticeably larger and heavier with a shorter tail.
