This zoo-museum is also a rescue and permanent shelter for animals who have been found near the country's coast.
Some are released back into the wild after recovery, others sustained such kinds of wounds their chances of survival in the wild are slim. They get a good home in the zoo. This goes for Birds, Seals, Porpoises and even some Fish and Sharks.
This is one of the permanent residents, I believe Normally they just sit beautifully, but these were swimming!

Latin name: Morus Bassanus
Originates from the North Atlantic.

…It’s name “Gannet” is derived from the Old English word “ganot” meaning strong or masculine. It’s Latin name is comprise of “morus”, meaning foolish due the lack of fear in breeding Gannets and Boobies allowing them to easily be killed. Old names used to describe the Northern Gannet are also Solan or Solan Goose.
…Gannets were formerly included in the genus Sula, and though many consider all Boobies and Gannets to be Sula, they can be distinguished by studying their bones.
