Description
When: December 9, 2019
Where: GaiaZOO Kerkrade, The Netherlands
Anacondas fare quite well in the water. In a different zoo, where they have a few, they often curl up in the water. It was no surprise to see this one go down into the water either.
It offered up a very nice opportunity to get creative. I immediately noticed the reflection and wanted to see if I could get that on camera I think it turned out in a rather fun way
Species: Green Anaconda (Waterboa of groene anaconda)
Latin name: Eunectes Murinus
Originates from South America.
Did you know:
…The Green Anaconda’s Latin name was derived from its good swimming skills, and love for mice – not because he’s supposedly the color of a mouse.
…It counts as the heaviest known Snake species.
…When one says “Anaconda”, people mostly refer to this kind.
