We often hear people speak up that they think these Gentle Lemurs are a lot less fun, or less cute, because they look rather chubby and people think they resemble Hamsters (as if those aren't fun and cute )

But just look at this way-too-adorable cutie Isn't he totally loveable?

Species: Lac Alaotra Gentle Lemur (Alaotrabamboemaki)

Latin name: Hapalemur Alaotrensis

Originates from northeast Madagascar.

Current status: Critically Endangered

Did you know:

…The Lac Alaotra Gentle Lemur is the only Lemur specifically adapted to living in papyrus reeds.

…Unlike the other Bamboo Lemurs, it does not eat bamboo, but papyrus reeds, shoots of the common reed and two types of grass.
