Description A small gift for ~Zencelot of her characters Arbreza, Arnis and Alastair because she drew this wonderful gift for me:

I thought it was only appropriate to draw these three because you drew my three brothers characters~

I thought the scarf idea was nice, hope you don't mind me reusing it here. xD Plus extra awesome pins! Gotta love that snowman pin.

Sorry if it looks wonky in places... for some reason I can't draw properly lately. ;n;
Hope you like nonetheless! C:

Wah! I got my wish! Five inches of snow on Christmas morning~ But it's too dry to make a snowman with... :/ But oh well. How was your Christmas, Kei?

Mousewren In reply to Naragirl007 [2012-12-26 23:32:10 +0000 UTC]

Yay, snow!
Lucky! Even if it was a measly 5 inches. xD

Mine was good! Had breakfast with very good friends, then spent the rest of the day with a few family members. And my mum even managed to get a few days off, so I was happy to have her around- we even went to the beach the day after Xmas!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Naragirl007 In reply to Mousewren [2012-12-27 04:29:35 +0000 UTC]

Haha! XD Yes, a measly 5 inches. And it's too dry to make a snowman. *sigh* It's our first legitimate snow of the whole season, though. We have a terrible drought right now. ;_;

The beach? Wow, that's a new one, I must say! I've never heard of people going to the beach around Christmas! But...I'm a sheltered middle-of-the-country-dwelling mountain lover, so~ XD I'm so glad you had a good Christmas with your family and friends!

Mousewren In reply to Naragirl007 [2012-12-27 06:00:48 +0000 UTC]

Terrible drought and you guys have snow? That just sounds really weird to me because drought here means unbearably hot, dry weather all the time. xD

You have to remember i'm from Australia! It's summer here, so the beach was a good choice for a very hot day.

Naragirl007 In reply to Mousewren [2012-12-27 07:29:36 +0000 UTC]

Ah, right. Southern Hemisphere. Winter here, Summer there. Well, we haven't had any precip all of Summer, Autumn, or Winter really. At least nothing to increase our moisture level. I live in an arid state (not as bad as Australia, but still dry) where we've had wildfire after wildfire and no ample reserve water to put it out. That's what droughts are to us.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Mousewren In reply to Naragirl007 [2012-12-27 09:03:22 +0000 UTC]

Ah, I guess we're both a bit unknowing of other places. I should have considered 'drought' might mean something a bit different elsewhere/different countries, etc. xD

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Naragirl007 In reply to Mousewren [2012-12-28 03:46:15 +0000 UTC]

Yeah. XD Oh well. My stupid sick brain forgot about Australia's desert heats, though I don't know enough about it to know whether that's all over the continent or...just where you live? I dunno! All I know about Austrailia is I want to go there sometime! ...and that the kangaroos and platypi live down there. X'D *cough* Do I sound like an ignorant American now?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Mousewren In reply to Naragirl007 [2012-12-28 04:04:54 +0000 UTC]

Haha, it really only gets hot in summer- that's it. The rest of the year is fairly cold- except spring which is warm, I guess. xD
And most major towns are situated close to the ocean, so it's really not as hot and dry as people may think.

There we are! You know a bit more about Australia then the average American! xD

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Naragirl007 In reply to Mousewren [2012-12-28 04:32:45 +0000 UTC]

Wooow, I spelled it wrong...>< I always made that spelling mistake when I was little. (AustraIlia instead of Australia) Stupid sick brain is still active, apparently! *facepalm* Yes, because kangaroos and platypi are very important parts of Australia, right? Haha. But the cities near the ocean part makes sense. :] I'm sure all the movies from Hollywood that supposedly take place there don't do it justice. Besides, you know how America likes to make an image for a certain place that isn't exactly accurate. XD

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Mousewren In reply to Naragirl007 [2012-12-28 04:46:06 +0000 UTC]

Ah well, you do know how to spell it, you just forget sometimes. xD

Yes, yes they are. xD
Platypi are 10x better than kangaroos, though. Just saying.

Yeahh, there's hardly any good films that portray Australia properly. Most films are done further outside of towns, in country areas (or outback, as you may have heard of it. xD) and of course animals like kangaroos are heaps more common inland.

The one thing that gets me is that everyone around the world thinks Australians speak with a Steve Irwin accent. I'll have you know that the very few people who actually speak like that sound like idiots compared to the rest of the population. xD

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Naragirl007 In reply to Mousewren [2012-12-28 05:32:50 +0000 UTC]

I do agree. I think platypi are fantastic. XD But I've never seen either, so I would love to see both.

I'm sure that's how it is. I mean, I think a lot of people might believe we're still ropin' cattle and carrying around six shooters here in the West. XD I feel like America has just as many stereotypes as any other country.

Hahaha! That's hilarious. "Crikey!" X'D Nah, I knew that. True Australian accents are amazing. I love em. :3 Everyone around the world thinks we either have a heavy southern drawl like Paula Dean or an extreme Boston accent like Bugs Bunny. No one ever remembers us normal sounding, sort of Trans-Atlantic accented midwesterns. XD

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Mousewren In reply to Naragirl007 [2012-12-28 06:22:42 +0000 UTC]

I've only ever seen them in captivity, sadly enough. Well, other than the few kangaroos that I see that have been hit by cars. :c

If it's any consolation, I don't think that at all about Americans! I pride myself on knowing quite a bit about different countries, which is a rare trait for people apparently. xD

Ah yes, the normal sounding people pushed aside by those few who have way too strong accents. Stereotypes are just the way of the mind, I guess. :/

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Naragirl007 In reply to Mousewren [2012-12-28 06:50:28 +0000 UTC]

O.o and I thought hitting a DEER did damage to my car! That's so sad. D:

Well, I'm glad there's someone out there. I used to try to do that, until I got super hung up on Japan. >> Now I probably know enough about Japan to fit in there, besides LOOKING like an American. But anywhere else, I'm sure I'd be lost. XD Nonetheless, there are a lot of places I want to visit.

Is this what they meant when they said "one bad apple spoils the bunch?" XD A world full of stereotypes?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Mousewren In reply to Naragirl007 [2012-12-28 07:07:51 +0000 UTC]

Kangaroos completely mess up cars if they're hit. I know a few people who had to get completely new cars because of them. o-o

Haha, I don't think I know too much about any one country, but more like a small amount of things from various countries. Japan's a big one for me too, though. It's the country I probably know the most about (beside Aus, of course. xD)

Yep, a very good way to put it in perspective.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Naragirl007 In reply to Mousewren [2012-12-28 07:17:30 +0000 UTC]

I could imagine! They're bigger than a deer, I know that! D:

I know so much about Japan that my friends tell me I should have been born there. (Don't read that in an "I'm such a genius" sort of way. Didn't intend it that way. ><) ...Y'know, now that I think about it, I think I'm making my friends sound like jerks by the few conversations we've had. XD But that's besides the point. Sometimes, I feel like I don't know much about America at all. Japan sounds more like the place for me every day. X'D

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Mousewren In reply to Naragirl007 [2012-12-28 11:49:53 +0000 UTC]

And the ones that normally get hit by cars are the smaller ones. o-o

I'm the same. I know next to nothing about Australia, and heaps about Japan. I'd probably still need a translator if I went there, though. xD

Ah, friends can get away with being jerks because we know it's all in good fun. C:

That's true. The best of friends won't baby you, right?

I know a bunch of different Japanese words, but I still don't fully understand sentence structure. So we both would have extremely awkward conversations with people there. xD

Ah yes, that's completely true.

Naragirl007 In reply to Mousewren [2012-12-31 06:33:07 +0000 UTC]

Haha! I'll take your word for it. XD I knew Ichigo from another anime before I heard it on Bleach. Have you heard of Keroro Gunso? (Or Sgt. Frog in English dubbing) Whether or not you have, the first opening has a line in it that says "my toothpaste is strawberry flavored." That's where I learned it. (The most randomly smashed together song I know. O.o)

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Mousewren In reply to Naragirl007 [2012-12-31 08:23:22 +0000 UTC]

I have heard of Sgt. Frog. Never bothered to look it up, though. xD
I heard the word ichigo from a show called Mew Mew Power years back. The main character's name was Ichigo. Which is weird because I watched the English dub of it as a kid and the main character's name was changed to Zoey. So how I knew her Japanese name i'll never know. xD

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Naragirl007 In reply to Mousewren [2013-01-01 04:16:29 +0000 UTC]

Aw, it's hilarious! Odd, but hilarious. Always good for a laugh when I need it. XD

Is that the same as Tokyo Mew Mew? Maybe the dubbing changed the name of it, like Sgt. Frog? If so, I know what you're talking about! That was one of the first Shojos I actually got into, way back when. ^^ It's odd how sometimes, dubs can be okay, but on other occasions, they are terrible! D: What makes them differ so much, I wonder?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Mousewren In reply to Naragirl007 [2013-01-01 05:07:49 +0000 UTC]

I might check it out when I have time, then. ^-^

Ah, right, yeah, it's also known as Tokyo Mew Mew. xD
English dubbers changed the name.

I actually really liked it when I was a kid. It was on in the mornings before I went to school, like Hamtaro, One Piece, Yugioh, and whatever other card game based shows there were. xD I'd always get up early to watch them. C:

A lot of dubs are pretty terrible. Kids shows are normally the worst ones, but i've seen plenty of others that suffer the same fate. :c
But I always watch the first episode of an anime in English (is it's dubbed) and Japanese to see which is better then watch from there.

Naragirl007 In reply to Mousewren [2013-01-01 08:53:06 +0000 UTC]

Well, if you can put up with random space frogs, I suggest it!

Ah, Hamtaro~! I loved that show growing up! I had stuffies and everything. XD Tokyo Mew Mew wasn't on tv here, I don't think. I got into it from my friend.

Yeah, it's true. Those terrible ones are the reasons why people hate English dubbing now. :Y Lawl, Pokemon is the worst though, I swear. XD

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Mousewren In reply to Naragirl007 [2013-01-01 09:21:29 +0000 UTC]

Haha. xP

I still have all my Hamtaro toys~
I loved it way too much. My friends and I liked to pretend we were the Ham-Hams. xD

English dubs have always been hated by a lot of people, but there's always the people who do like them. I didn't really care for Pokemon voice actors, that is, until they gave a really terrible voice actor to N. That was the last straw. The one character I like in the whole show and they ruin him. :T

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Naragirl007 In reply to Mousewren [2013-01-01 20:53:03 +0000 UTC]

I still have my GameBoy Advanced games from Hamtaro, and my stuffed Bijou. I don't know what happened to my Hamtaro one. D: My friends and I did that too. XD oh the memories~

Oh? They gave N a voice actor? I didn't know that! It isn't worth looking into though? XD

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Mousewren In reply to Naragirl007 [2013-01-02 00:58:43 +0000 UTC]

I have small stuffed toys of Hamtaro and Pashmina, a really big one of Hamtaro, and like, a million of those little collectible ones like these: [link]
They even had accessories likes kitchen ware or hats. xP

Well, they've only given him a voice in that animated trailer for BW2, but it was confirmed they were the proper voice actors. The trailer is pretty sweet, though. [link]
I wish the whole anime was like that, except i'd like the protagonist to be Black/Hilbert/ because he's the best playable character ever.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Naragirl007 In reply to Mousewren [2013-01-02 01:46:55 +0000 UTC]

Oh yeah! I had a few of those! But my favorites were my Panda and Snoozer ones. XD Oh wow, this is bringing back so many memories. >w<

Wow! If only the anime were like that. Pretty sweet! (made that comment before I read the rest after the link. >>) Aw man, that is kind of a crappy voice actor for N. Sad. I really like him. D: Man, that'd be so cool if Black were the main protagonist! I think Ash has well worn out his welcome. :/

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Mousewren In reply to Naragirl007 [2013-01-02 02:03:51 +0000 UTC]

My favourites were the standing Hamtaro and my Panda one. x3

I know, right? If the anime looked like that i'd actually watch it. xD
N's my most favourite Pokemon character ever so I was sad with his voice actor choice.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Naragirl007 In reply to Mousewren [2013-01-02 04:39:39 +0000 UTC]

Haha! It looks less cheesy than what it is now. And less predictable. Why don't they base the series off of the games anyway? Eh, whatever. Yeah, gotta say, his voice actor choice made me sad. I'm like you. N was my favorite. Even the rival's voice was better-fitting than N's. I liked the rival's character design and his motives in this game. He had more of a role this time.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Mousewren In reply to Naragirl007 [2013-01-02 10:44:00 +0000 UTC]

I think it would be absolutely awesome if they made the Black/White games into an anime and dropped Ash and whatever he does nowadays (what is he, like, 20 now? You can't be 10 forever, kid. >->)

I'm glad the rival actually had a motive at all in BW2. All the previous ones just wanted to be the champion, right? All of them. Gets boring after a while. xD

And not to mention the rival's Japanese name is the best. Hiroshi. I like saying to myself "Hi-Hi-Hiroshi" whenever I see him. xD I blame this: [link]

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Naragirl007 In reply to Mousewren [2013-01-03 03:40:29 +0000 UTC]

Haha! Or did this all happen in a year? o.O Psh, naaaah. Not possible. His "go get 'em" spirit would give out. XD

Yes, yes it does. *sigh* He actually had a reason for his craze. And there were more mysteries and plot twists in this game. I think BW2 was probably one of the best games yet. |D

X'D Oh my gawd I think I just died a little bit inside! That's hilarious. "And he just stands there and takes it."

A very, very long year. xD

I agree. BW2 is the best game, despite what other people say. Too many fans want to it to stay exactly the same. Great for them, but for the people who want something different? Not so much.

It probably the best fanart for the games ever. Hiroshi's face is just the cherry on top. x'D
