Here's my attempt at making the Astral Game version of Sun and Moon, a board game originally designed by catspaw-dtp-services.deviantar… . Thank you so much for your interest in this effort.

You can check out the rules over here. catspaw-dtp-services.deviantar… . The game is based on the cartoon My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, drawing inspiration from the history of the royal sisters Celestia and Luna.

Note that there are two versions of the game. One is more like traditional chess (the Terrestrial Game), but the unique design of the Astral Game has fascinated me. From what I understand, the Astral Game tends to end in draws due to its design. This led to a need for a more competitive version, the Terrestrial Game. However, I think the fact the Astral Game tends to end in draws is very much within the spirit of My Little Pony in and of itself.

I haven't made pieces for the game yet. The board is a pine stool seat painted with Waverly chalk paint. The colors used are Ocean, Maize, and Silver Lining. It's sealed with Waverly matte varnish and a beeswax, olive oil, and lemon oil polish.
