Description My first mix of digital art and traditional painting. Used water colors for both the window and blood. I sketched the figure before refining it on Photoshop.

I want the audience to have their own interpretation of this, but in my mind, hes standing over a body he killed in the result of a great sorrow.
All his focus in life was on doing what he did and in his mind, theres nothing left to do but wait for his existence to vanish by one way or another, in hopes that his sorrow will go with his existence.

Oh wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow, this is really lovely, and the story behind this--even more fantastic. Really gorgeous, seriously. I love his pose--the drawn shoulders and tilt of his head really speaks so much for what he's feeling, and just being able to express that through body language is terrific: lovelovelove everything about it, and the textures and shading of his clothes are perfect to match. Seriously, a brilliant piece. Love it! <3

Thank you so much! I'm sorry for not being around, its been a bit hectic but I really appreciate your insightful comments and how much you seem to enjoy my art. How have you been doing this year?

Hahaha, no problem, I've been real distant myself--all the way out in Panama, actually! So sorry if my responses take a long time! I'll have to wait 'till I get back to comment on pictures... @v@;;
But it's been great fun! How are you doing yourself? : )

well, in all honesty I lost my drive to design and illustrate for a couple of months due to being depressed about crap, but my drives back so i hope you'll be seeing new deviations soon. Have you ever gone through a time where you didn't feel like doing any of it?

Oh man, I definitely get that feeling a lot. Granted, these past few years I've been more busy with work and have just been insanely frustrated at NOT having any time to draw, but I've also had plenty of times where I would go without drawing for months at a time, and many times I thought of giving up.
Art's a hard "hobby", no matter how you look at it. It's frustrating and challenging and you're most likely not going to (nor are ever, haha) going to get paid for it, not enough to make a living from it, anyway. I've had times where my parents have suggested to me I give it up, or reminded me it was a "hobby" I wasn't supposed to take seriously and definitely not prioritize over my schoolwork, but as you probably know and feel just as much as I do, art is much more than just a "hobby" to us. x) It's a part of us, and that's why it's so hard to let go of. If you keep coming back to art, then you know. Even if you hate it for a while, you'll eventually come back to it, because it's just not something you can give up. I've realized this now, after many periods of frustration and abandonment of art when I felt like I was just pursuing something with no purpose: I felt like I could never be good enough, that I could never draw what I wanted to the way I wanted to, and that there was no point to it. But I feel like I've mostly crossed that bridge now. I'll probably still have bouts where I feel like I can't get anything done or that it's meaningless/stupid of me to try, but always I end up coming back to art, and I believe that you will, too.

...Um, sorry that was kind of terribly muddled and incoherent, but that's something kind of like what I feel? I hope you could even vaguely understand it... xD;
Good luck, and never give it up!

Thank you so much for this. Its made me understand that what I felt is normal ans something to be expected. It was a hard few months but even during that time, I never thought of doing anything else in the future and as I'm coming back into drawing once more, I feel the need and desire to do more. Your message really helped me a lot. Its made me see this clearer than anyone else.

I will copy this and keep it somewhere so I know where to look should this happen again.

Thanks again fellow artist!

No problem at all, man. I know the feeling all too well--been down the path myself a few too many times, too. I'm just glad that the confusing jumble I wrote down made any sense, haha!
Never stop, and thanks again for all of your support!

Oooh. Ah! This turned out even better than I though. It actually really stuck me, and the cords in my heart. The blue reminds me of a city-scape that the figure is walking past, but is disconnected from it. In either way, great job with it. Love to see you experiment some more like this!

Great work. You've combined the traditional and digital elements really well.
What really drew my eye to this, was the contrast of the angular and ordered window texture and the more random blood texture, as well as the contrast between the cool blue and warm red.

I hope you got a good mark for this in your course.
