Speaking about centering objects, same for the horizon. Most of the time you'd better avoid having the horizon in the middle of the picture or close to it. Rule of the thirds works well in most cases. Besides, when the sky is not very interesting, as here (it's rather monotonous), the picture won't lose anything by cropping half of that sky off. Otherwise the composition is good, the beach curve makes a kind of trail to the distance to lead the eye, and it's also nice that the tuft of green grass ends in the corner.

Ah I see, I kinda felt so since it just looks bleh for the most part with the sky. Do you think it would look better with a simple crop?

Yeah, I think just cropping off part of the sky will improve it.
