Lovely shot. When I go for walks, I try looking for a cardinal. I can recognize its' songs. Plus I'm pretty good at whistling it too.

Thank you so much! Cardinals are quite plentiful here. They have a lovely song and I think that it is awesome that you can whistle it. I am greatly lacking in the whistling department. In other words... I can not whistle.

I'm awaiting some more birds to appear on your home page! Did they all disappear?
Last night...during the night, I do believe the deer came by, and emptied the feeder....by hitting it with its snout, it knocks all the seeds to the ground. Let me know how you are....regards from

Those pesky deer! Haha. I have watched them do the same thing to my feeders. There are so many wild apple trees on and around my property that the deer arrive daily in droves to feed on them. We had to build an elaborate fence around my greenhouse and garden to keep them out. I am impatiently awaiting spring so that I can begin to see the warblers and other migrating birds begin to arrive again! I am beyond happy that you enjoy my bird photos. Until I joined DA, I had no way to share my photos and receive feedback to know if they would be enjoyed by others. I know that I have already stated this to you...but I so appreciate your feedback!

Yes, I'm back to taking my feeder in for the night. Not too
bad...our temps are just back to the freezing point.

Of course! That is a great idea...taking it back in for the night. I could not do that with mine because the two that we have hanging in the backyard are secured with some serious drastic measures so that they can withstand the amount of wind that we get screaming through this valley. I am going to pretend that is is February and that we are closer to spring that what we are.
