Between the shops of a pretty pretty place, in the alleys, markings of graffiti were everywhere. In a way it was sad to see my city in such mess but in another way, it was enjoyable to see the city in such art. I think graffiti is a beautiful type of art but at the same time I think it should be controlled and done for the right reasons if to be done.
I tried to get perspective into this shot, it was a pretty long wall
I really like the graffiti on this wall and am not posting it because of its potential as a photograph but I want to share this wall with you and what people tried to express to the rest of the people in my city. Lol, I tried to relate the font to the topic, dont know how well that worked out.

boy i love graffiti sooo much, i think it is one of the best forms of art because, it is done almost entirely with out merit and no one makes money on it so theres no way for it to get sold out and commercial

i think the only people that should post photos of graffiti are those that made it. i dont really understand taking a photo and saying its art of someone elses art.. its a lot like just taking tracing paper and tracing out a new drawing..
i know that wasnt your intent to say this is art, you just wanted to share it.
people saying "Cities should have huge Cement parks, or more skate parks for Graffiti artists can go and do their thing" like jibrille, obviously dont understand the point of graffiti. its not to do it in a particular area... its a rebelion against society and the city.. to show theres other ways to express yourself than the lined paper we're given...thinking outside the borders..

I really like graffiti though I think it should be taken into consideration where it is made.

THE WHOLE IDEA OF GRAFFITI is to defy control. Back in the day the kids used to defy death and go on the subway tracks at 4 in the morning to paint something that was greater than 80 percent of the shit in galleries only to get chased by police and have insanely ignorant people say it wasn't art. Sure, some graffiti, a small percentage, is just kids messing around for fun. Mostly though, it is people who dedicate themselves to it. The right reasons? IT IS ART

I definately agree its art and very beautiful art at that. When I said controlled, I meant the kids who go messing around not doing it because its what they feel inside but doing it for the sake of saying they did it to make them seem cool. sorry if you misunderstood.

it's amazing how elaborate those drawings can be when they are supposedly 'illegal'. I like to look at them too, and I agree with you about them having to be controlled. I like this shot of it though, looks like a lot of people put their time into those drawings

The angle adds interest, so it's not just a boring shot of a painted wall.
