Fanart. Shame on me.I've been watching far too much Hornblower again. I had a photo from it lurking on my computer and this came out because I cannot resist sketching a lovely...er...uniform.
And...we'll just leave it at that, shall we?
There very well may be a time when I cannot resist drawing a lovely hat to go with this. (Meaning another pic, not a hat on this one. That'd be silly.)
Sketched in pencil then toned and hilighted in Photoshop.

Well, I DID the other day. It's just a little one.
It's not a nice, detailed one like the first I posted, a little more comic-booky in style. Those hats are a PAIN to draw, lemmetellya! They're shaped weird and they've got these weird leather "feather" things on them. But so, so pretty!
I'll try to post it before the weekend's out.

There, fixed. :3 Lovely, lovely picture; Bush is by far my favourite character from that series, and you've rendered him beautifully! The hair in particular is gorgeous.

I can't draw realistically (I do what a friend calls quasi-realism, as in line work where the features aren't really stylized like they'd be in, say, manga), and hair is always incredibly difficult for me to deal with, because I suck at shading and figuring out where all the little strands go. The life-drawing classes, they did nothing! But if I could handle it all well, I can see where tousled, windblown hair would be a lot of fun. :3
Ah, Hornblower. The only series in which guys with mullets actually manage to look attractive.
