Description
So, it appears that I have started making puppets.

Remey is a raven puppet with a foam skull and body, felt mouth and "feathers", fleece beak, head and feet, and two kinds of faux fur for body and wings. Contrasting yarn has been brushed into fibers and knotted into the fur and wings, to give a multi-colored effect. Detailings have been added using foam, feathers, "beer pong" balls, yarn, acrylic paints, inks, and pastels (spray-fixed).

The base patterning was done with the Roly pattern from the simple series from Projectpuppet.com, who make fantastic patterns that are solid foundations to build upon. This was then customized to have wings instead of arms, bird feet, and beak. The beak took me three tries to perfect, but I am very happy with the way it turned out.

Remey is a sassy, sarcastic little fellow with a grumpy side. His parents wanted him to take himself more seriously, hoping for a son who'd work with the likes of Odin or Morrigan, but personality will out, and he's following a different path in life. Since he came to life in late 2016, there's some sadness in his eyes, but he'll be just fine.
