Ok, so I'm watching this scene, I can't tear my eyes away from the screen as Church begins his monologue, building to this statement. And when it goes, my heart really feels for this scene. And in the end, saying I forget you, instead of I love you, proves how much he did love her. remember, she didn't want to come back in the first place."If you love something, set it free. Goodbye Tex. I may have my problems with you, but it's sad to see you go for good. And yeah, she's gone for good. Allison, the person Tex is based off of is dead, the original Tex AI was destroyed in the EMP in season 6, and with Epsilon letting go the memory of her, there is no way to bring Tex back. And to be fair, if there is a way, it shouldn't be used. She's been fighting all her life, she's finally at peace.

There's very little in RvB that was more emotional and tear-provoking than this scene. One of which is in Season 10

there are 2 factors that lead me to believe she is not dead, (it isnt a matter of if she wants it or not, also anyone who seeks out death is a fool cause if the world rejects you fine, you find all the other rejects and find a place with them because you are not born with a place in the world, you make your own place) the first factor is that remember season 5? well tex was an AI and when church gets his bodies killed it does not seem to bother him...at all so i doubt that little fall could hurt someone with technically no body, also forgetting someone does not make them go away, she probably just walked off mid-conversation and hid from Carolina in someone's head.....probably caboose's knowing RT....so if even one of those is correct then tex is alive

Tex isn't suicidal. She doesn't reject life itself. She's just pissed that she keeps coming back to life when she finally thinks its over.
This isn't her physical body we're talking about. This is a version of her mind created by Epsilon's memories, trapped inside the capture unit. And she willingly joined Church on top of the base, so her walking off isn't likely.

uh the AI of her is the one more likely to come back (the one from the wreckage of Sheila) and that is the one im betting will come back.......but the memory one.....still might have walked off, less likely but possible

The one in the wreckage of sheila's dropship was taken by the Meta and added to his collection. The original tex AI was wiped out with the rest of his collection in the EMP at the end of season 6

Carolina is not a replacement. Unlike the abrasive and aloof Texas (and that's putting it mildly), she is kind, showing great concern for the well being of her comrades, while balancing that with her impressive skills

There is no way they'll let it die, the worst they will likely ever do (and I'm hoping that it won't be anytime soon) would be a hiatus, presumably to come up with new ideas. Of course it probably won't last twenty years like the Simpsons or whatever, but we probably have at least a few years until we have an ending. Thank god.

There is no way they could possibly wrap up the rvb season with just one more season, I expect two more seasons after ten. And even then, there will most likely be more, I expect them to keep make rvb episodes as long as the halo franchise continues, and since they are making another TRILOGY, Yeah theres more rvb to come.

I've watched some behind the scenes of season 9, and Burnie stated that certain characters will not have a revealed face. This includes the reds, blues, Wash, and the Meta.
one other thing. Tex and Church are AI programs in robotic shells, so they won't really have a human face

FUCK! I felt the same way, bro. They really know how to make an emotional moment in RvB. I'm happy and all that they keep Epsilon/Church around, but some people might've forgotten that the original Alpha/Church is also dead. But yeah since Epsilon is memory, then that was the equivalent of "right click, delete".
Knowing RoosterTeeth, they MAY find some far-fetched way to bring back Tex/Alison, MAYBE, probably revolving around when they find the Director.
Also Donut is permanently dead. Killed by Wash, so in the present he can't come back. But Lopez can. I keep hoping that they remember their little joke about Lopez making backups of himself. If they do remember then Lopez just needs a new body and he's back.

Church was a character we still wanted, and though Epsilon isn't the original, he did fill the hole in the hearts of a lot of fans. Personally, I don't want Tex to come back. The EMP that destroyed the original Church and Tex wasn't really a satisfying way for them go out, which made Epsilon necessary. Hate to Say Goodbye had a satisfying ending for the character of Tex.
Donut's not dead. In a sponsor's ending for episode 13 of revelation, he comes back to life, having apparently gone into a recovery mode when Wash shot him, which FILSS brought him out of. I swear this is the truth.

Yeah I don't know about Tex coming back, but yes, Church being wiped out by the EMP was kind of lame, I understand that they kept him around as Epsilon.
huh. I did not know about the sponsor ending. Kind of a dick move, because the rest of us fans don't know about that so the majority of us will be up in arms when they bring Donut back (I honestly don't care if he comes back, he annoys me). But since when was he a recovery agent? Was that his new job? And I thought FILSS said that only worked inside the facility, so it's even more of a plothole.

I think it's because all armor made by the Freelancer corporation has that feature (or at least all current models, hence Caboose's immunity to remote armor lock), they just don't give a rat's ass about Simulation Troopers and the Troopers don't have A.I. to begin with, so they don't bother with Recovery Agents for them. I could be wrong.
