Description
So, the just-newly-released Terran Marauder from SC2, the replacement for the Firebat.In-game they're a heap bigger than the marines but you don't really get a good look at them in any of the screenshots, so I figured that the armour's probably similar, just upscaled a tad.
4/5 hours, the usual - Sketchbook Pro + PS CS3.

Uuhh...no. If you pay attention to the WoL campaign, when you click on the Marauder in the armory, you'll note that it says (Now I don't remember exactly, just making guesses at the number) that about 3/4 of the enlisted marauders aren't convicts or other personnel with a history. In fact, most of them haven't done a single act to enact legal punishment.

Does anyone remember the Art and Lore book from the original Starcraft Battlechest sets?
I read that book so, so many times when I was a kid and sucked at video games.
This looks like it belongs in such a book.

I like this version better than the one the actually used in the game. For me, the design of the helmet of the space marine armour was always a nice connection to real space suits and added a lot to the verisimilitude of the Starcraft Universe.

Guys if you play the single player missions, and play the mission where you get Marauders, then go down to the armour, and click on him, you get a good picture(well its more of an animation).

its nice painted but it looks more like marine with marauder guns and backpack... see my marauder [link] its also diferent than ingame marauder, but its maybe marauder prototype

Looks great. Those heavy hitters would be able to destroy Stalkers if it weren't for the shields and extra 2 damage stalkers deal to armored targets. The only real weakness of Marauders would be large numbers and aircraft. Firbats on the other hand only needed help dealing with aircraft and heavy firepower like siege tanks (based on their performance in the SC2 campaign).

This is a firebat dude. A marauder has one big launcher on each hand.

They do have two, actually , though even if they didn't when I drew this there weren't any close-up screenshots available (and after all, we knew then that this was actually just a retexture of the firebat model.)

As long as you put a link to the original up in the deviation comments, okay.
But for future reference it's best not to do this at all; or, at least, make a better attempt at finding or pointing to the original rather than just 'I found it'.
