Description So, the just-newly-released Terran Marauder from SC2, the replacement for the Firebat.
In-game they're a heap bigger than the marines but you don't really get a good look at them in any of the screenshots, so I figured that the armour's probably similar, just upscaled a tad.

4/5 hours, the usual - Sketchbook Pro + PS CS3.

Well I was refering more to their choice of name. In the book, the Mobile Infantry uses power armour called Marauders.

Hm... this is a unit I haven't seen yet. But it sure looks coooool. Bigger, meaner and heavy-duty firepower. And if they run out of ammo, those arms can clobber just about anything. Great design and superb details.

really great work! i love the way you shade your metal + this concept feels more starcrafty than the actual marauder (looks like a dwarf in armor imo)

you sure? I thought the reapers were the replacement for the firebats? because even though I watch the trailer's and such their was nothing saying about maruader's

They haven't been in any videos yet, but there are a few screenshots with them - they're only a pretty recent addition. They've got pretty much the same in-game model as the firebats, anyway, they just have grenade launchers instead.

you nailed it big time.

yes the marauders armor should be wide as in game but it should be tall too. i think the guy inside should only be half of the height of the marauder armor. anyway nice work. fave.^^
