Description I know various people are waiting for various things, but after drawing the cyberpunk Red Riding Hood, my mind went all sorts of directions and I felt compelled to make this.

***READ BEFORE ASKING QUESTIONS***

"Candyhouse" is a drug that "The Witch" uses on her associates and disperses covertly throughout the population. It induces a state of optimistic delirium while making the user very susceptible to the Witch's suggestions.

This is not a new series or serial, just something I may draw occasionally.

Muffet is a traumatized ex soldier, prone to hallucinations and night terrors. She worked with Red Riding Hood and Woodsman 43893 for a while as a form of resistance, before "Wolf" and escaped genetic experiment of The Witch's brutalized her.

The Witch recovered her body (the top half) and through massive amounts of drug therapy and rebuilding her into what she most fears, the Witch has "cured" Muffet. To a degree.

a complex and interesting situation here.
The kind of thing where you wish you could sit down with a person and carefully talk things out but its probably not an option.

"Cured" is such a subjective term though, I prefer "treated"; like what one does to a rash or a bullet to the face.

Fairytales are pretty violent already. But Cyberpunking them is perfect, as it matches them.

What about the woodcutter, with half of one of his arms an oversized chainsaw?

Marcus

I had an idea for the "Big Bad Wolf", i.e Arthur Baahdwulfe: Exotic with a cyber-arm!

And our dad ran and played several cyberpunk games, so that's how we know about it.

Inspiration: Huntman's a paranoid survivalist, only drinks water derived from his own wastes to avoid Candyhouse contamination. Relies on Red and company for weapons and fuels. Uses only electronic payment from his bankrollers (Three Little Pigs) to minimize his signature.
Hunter would melta-bomb the Witch, but his vigilance is serving him well: the Witch has let the Wolf loose to run him down.
And all it needs is a snoot full of pheremones to seal the deal.
Wolf is directed by the enigmatic black-bag info theft all star(s) H@G (Hansel And Gretel). Their viruses leave breadcrumb trails, you know.

And yeah, MOAR! Highly Awesome, particularly ms. Muffet. Kind curious if the striped vertical ports on her lower torso function as weapons. Or if she's more about tear people apart with those legs.
Steam punk is decent enough, but I prefer Cyber.
SP = Bollocks!
CP = Fuck you.

Wow, that is awesome, cyberpunk does seem to have gone the way of the dodo, but that's too bad cause I really like it. This is great, what are the three pigs? I'm thinking they're three fat guys who run safe houses, two of which have been destroyed by "wolf," the third of which he can't break?

Either way, this is just one more awesome thing I can't wait to see more of. Keep up the great art.

I'm working on a dreamworld/Wonderland setting (and a campaign to follow); this has given me more than a few ideas on what I should add to it.

At the very least, I hope you don't mind Woodsman 43893 making an appearance.

RedZealot6 [2009-04-21 19:21:04 +0000 UTC]

A thought: it might have been a little more interesting - and possibly fitting - if one of her eyes had been replaced with ocular implants. With multiple lenses. To give the effect of having more than two eyes (don't most spiders have four eyes?).

Then again, I guess that might dehumanize the character too much, and actually make her a little less freaky (and more cliche).

The red patterns on her "abdomen"...is it to give the impression that she's dangerous like a black widow?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Mr-Culexus In reply to RedZealot6 [2009-04-22 01:08:26 +0000 UTC]

Red Back, actually.

Also, ocular implants would have shown she'd been tampered with back when she was still amongst the boxes.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

RedZealot6 In reply to Mr-Culexus [2009-04-22 01:42:32 +0000 UTC]

Would that have been out-of-place on an ex-military person in a sci-fi setting? Or a mercenary? Or whatever these characters are?

Although I guess it adds to the shock. That's what you were going for, then?
