Gradually, the pushing and swelling ceased. Angela paused to catch her breath. Placing a hand on her hip, she admired her new form as much as she could without the benefit of a mirror. She wasn't sure if it was just the relief of her body finally settling on a shape, but she liked what she saw. She had no real way of knowing how much older the spell made her, but she could tell she was at least a head shorter than when she first set foot in the archives. It wasn't how she ever imagined she'd mature (especially since it involved losing height), but it felt right somehow.

It occurred to her that the clothes she was wearing changed along with her, but that probably wasn't true of the stuff in her closet back home. A new wardrobe was definitely in order. As for the rest of the changes in her life, she'd just wait and see.
