I don't so much hate him as I rarely use him because I suck with him. By the same token, it kills me that Sonic is actually pretty good, at least on the one Classic run I did with him.

I didn't want him to suck, I guess I just expected him to. I just figured that someone even faster than Cap would dive off cliffs even more efficiently. But he actually has brakes. And decent moves, even if they are all variations of the spin dash.

Well, Silver has TK. I don't think Shadow does, if my memory is correct... But you are right about the guns and energy blasts (Chaos Spear, Chaos Blast), but at least he is an assist trophy.
