Description
One of the classic comic book heroines, frequently featured in Damsel In Distress situations on her covers was The Black Cat. The ORIGINAL Black Cat, Linda Turner, who was actually the star of several comics from Harvey Comics (Yes, of Casper, the Friendly Ghost fame), as early as 1941.

The image here is adapted from the first issue of a 1981 reprint series, which used art by the original artist of The Black Cat, Al Gabrielle.

Over the years, The Cat's boots, mask & gloves would change color schemes back & forth. I went for the red gloves here. The boots would've been red as well, but the original picture actually had her bootless.

I worked very hard on this to get it as close in spirit to the feel of the picture, and I have to admit that I'm proud of this piece.
