Here's the colored version of [link] of my current flagship character of my own, World Class Champion Fighter, Olympic Level Athlete, and all around badass Cyborg Babe Nicole (Nikki) Vetter aka "Diamond". Over the past several months, she has firmly established herself as my main character as I LOVE her! (As you see, she's the present image in my avatar) I've currently got her entered in an OC Battle that is holding and I hope that she kicks some serious ass! Here's her first round "battle" if you haven't seen it! [link]

For those of you that have been watching me for a while and are familiar with my OC's...you might notice that Nicole now has "Adora-1" emblazoned on her right breast. That's right boys and girls... as I've done a few times in the past, I've gone and taken an older, unused character in the way of Adora-1 (my oldest OC of 20+ years) [link] [link] and assimilated her with Nikki...as her design was very similar to Nikki's and I couldn't think of a good story for her. I've been really wanting to get Adora-1 involved with stuff, but I've never really been able to flesh anything out fully with Adora-1...it's odd that although she's been around for 20 something years that I've never come up with any solid backstory for her. If anyone is worthy of taking over the name and all of the stuff that I have accumulated with Adora, it's Nikki...asides from Adora-1 being a full bodied cyborg from the neck down and Nikki being only 50% machine as well as Nikki's skin being a bit darker and her hair longer than Adora's, their physical designs are very similar with the whole chrome bodied look. Plus, I've actually got an idea for a future story/plot with Nicole as Adora-1 as well...but that probably won't happen for a while. But from henceforth, Nicole "Diamond" Vetter is now also "Adora-1"!

I really just wanted to see this one colored...I like how it came out, but I don't think that it's as good of a color job as I've been doing recently. Maybe it's b/c of the lack of a background...I dunno. Well, at least the color in the back is Carolina Blue!!! (Let's Go Tar Heels!) I'm trying to get her cyber-chrome symbiotic skin to come out really shiny and metallic looking, and it's just not working for me...I've been studying comics with metallic/chromish characters (Void from WildCATS, Colossus from X-Men, Impact from Cyber Force, etc) and I haven't nailed the technique that was used to create that shiny chrome effect. They use a lot of black shading and white highlighting inside the outlines...does anyone else have any tips or tricks on metallic/shiny surfaces? And I'm still trying to find ways to jazz up her design and make her look more like a cyborg without overdoing it...that's part of the reason why I added the "Adora-1" emblem as that's now her model number; she's the prototype model of the cybernetic technology that her body has been transformed with. However, I left off some of the other details that the old Adora-1 had, as some of my other characters already have some of those other details.
