Well here it is, Dante from DMC3. This is supposed to be the other half of the Lady In Red pic. I had so much trouble with this one, it didn't turn out at all like I wanted. I'm sorry everyone, I failed miserably. I had to repaint his face several times because it just didn't look like him no matter what, and then I just gave up really. One of these days I'll try again and make a better Dante. Done in Open Canvas 3, about 4 hours, referenced from Capcom official US website.Dante and Devil May Cry 3 ÂĐ Capcom

Thanks everyone for your support and helpful critiques. I am nevertheless pretty disappointed with how this turned out, and I didn't see just how bad it really was til I saw it on my laptop screen at work. I'm going to scrap this because it really isn't something I'm proud to call a full deviation. Thanks again!

I can tellyou worked allot on this one, and where as he may not look exactly like Dante.. he does look almoast exactly like Albedo from Xenosaga o,O

I would say that it's not as successful as your lady in red picture, and you obviously seem dissatisfied by it, but it's not a bad drawing in itself; it just doesn't look exactly like Dante. Anyway, this doesn't mean you can't give him another try on the future, I guess... Dante is a very particular character, especially by his looks (well, more in the other games, where he is actually older and looks older). I think they gave him a lot of (badass) personality by making him unique in design (his face, mostly)... I remember laughing out loud during a looong while when I first saw him dressed in Diesel jeans in DMC2... that scarf was quite... unexpected... XD but I'm digressing.

I love Dante, he's so enigmatic, so mysterious, even if I rarely played with the game. But the character is very interesting !

honestly sweety it's not his face that's the trouble area its his neck....he's tooooo ridgid. a lot more rigid than dante actually is....loosen the flow of the lines light and shadows in his neck and traps and you'll find that this piece is alot better than you think.

He looks a little like a caucasian Bruce Lee, or like a...Trevor Goodchild from Aeon Flux. Sorry. Don't mean to be so harsh. I still can't compete with that technique. It really is very good. I just don't think it really looks like him.

I'm not sure what sort of vision you had for this, but I think it DID turn out beautifully. Everything looks so smooth and even, I love the facial details and the flow to the hair especially. The colors are amazing.

While proportionally and lighting wise, he looks great. I'd have to say what's probably erking you about it is the color of this skin. There's not really a lot of warm tones in it. Mostly a maroon and white combination. The shading and hair are fantastic though and I absolutely love the eyes
