Description This is some makeup work I did last year for a good friend of mine, Christel Edwards. Christel and I became friends while working as makeup artists for the legendary Rocky Point Haunted House in Salt Lake City. Christel is a very talented model, and we decided to collaborate on a monster makeup job. The makeup took about 7 hours to complete, and once it was done, Christel had a couple of top notch photographers take pictures of her in various places around downtown Salt Lake City, Utah. This photo was taken by Renee Lee. I also took a few photos, but mine were pretty lame by comparison, so I have been wanting to post these great shots as they show much more of the detail that went into this makeup. Thanks to Christel and Renee for letting me use these photos. This was a great project, and there will be more to come soon!

Oh, thanks Chrissie! I was oblivious to the whole Daily Deviation thing when it happened, so it really took me by surprise to see so many page views and comments start rolling in- It was pretty overwhelming!

I was hoping to do a full back mural of the Creature from the Black Lagoon on my friend Christel this coming Sunday, but due to schedule conflicts with the photographer, it looks like it may be early March instead. Oh well- I am taking the family to Disneyland for a week at the end of this month, so maybe that will help charge my creative battery!

It was hilarious when I drove Christel to the location for the photo shoot- people in the cars next to us were freaking out! Always fun to give random people an unexpected dose of the bizarre!!
