What do you do when you are between projects and have no new art to post? You dig into the vault and find crazy pieces like this one.

From WAY back in good old 1983- this is the second piece in a series I created called DEATH DREAM. The first one was a full black and white pen and ink piece, with hundreds of my favorite monster faces spewing out a skull (really poorly drawn cartoon style skull that is). With this one, I got more ambitious and broke out the watercolors to go for a technicolor nightmare. I also tried to incorporate many of my favorite horror movie characters and such- then to add a really nifty effect, I even mixed fake blood into my red paint to do the big blood splats in the background. So many things are wrong with this painting I won't even start, but at the time I was proud of it, and it even won first place in a couple of school sponsored art shows. Sorry about the lousy quality of the image- taken of the art while still inside the frame, and this was the best I could do with it in Photoshop. Just a glimpse at another dusty corner of the Mordacious art vault. Maybe someday I will get the nerve to post Vol.1 and Vol.3 as well.
