Description
He lay in bed alone. He was 67 years old. An empty chair sat in the corner. Two days ago, his wife mysteriously died while boating with their godson, Ted. Someone knocked on the door of the sickly man's bedroom.
"Come in," Said the old man, feebly.
The door opened slowly. Teddy Remus Lupin walked in.
"It's great to see you, son."
"And wonderful to see you, too, Harry."
The sound of Ted's voice made Harry Potter sit up higher in his bed. He was slightly blinded by his disease, to the point that glasses could not correct. Ted smiled. "So, you have Nifigoma."
"Yes." Ted was familiar with the disease that plagued his wife, Victorie. No one had found a cure for it.
"Oh, Harry, I finally heard the whole story of your past."
"Really?"
"Oh, yes, Ron told me, you know, about things like, James' invisibility cloak..."
"Yes..?"
"And the rest of the Hallows."
"That's nice."
"And how you have the Elder Wand"
"Oh..." Harry gulped.
"And how, if you were killed, say, by me, the killer would own it."
Harry feared what was about to happen. He knew Ted wanted the Hallow, and suspected that Ted had evil intentions. Harry grabbed for his wand, so he could kill himself, thus ending the elder wand's path through history.
"Expelliarmus!" Yelled Ted, pointing at his dying godfather.
Ted let Harry's wand fall to the floor. He picked it up, snapped it in half, and put the two halves of the holly wand in his cloak pocket. He then aimed his wand at Harry, sending the Killing Curse across the room.
And Harry James Potter fell limp in his death bed.
Ted wrote two notes, sending one to James, and the other to Albus, the only two living relatives of Harry Potter.
A short while later, Albus Severus Potter appeared in the room.
"So, it's true."
"Unfortunately." replied Ted, "He died of Nifigoma."
"Sad."
"It's a shame...that one family has to suffer three losses in one week."
"But, Ted, this is only two."
"No, not two," Ted said calmly, shooting another burst of deathly light at his god-brother, "three."
Ted left Godric's Hollow just a moment befor James Potter appeared in the room where Harry and Albus Potter lay dead.
