Description Yamato wrapped an arm around the shoulders of the young Atsu, now orphaned once again, with the passing of his adoptive parents. The young boy was standing tall, back straight, throughout the entire funeral, but with that simple touch, he broke down, wrapping his arms around Yamato and crying into the other's robes.

Even Souta, in his early twenties, couldn't keep his tears from falling at the passing of his parents. His arms were wrapped around Koichi's shoulders and his eyes closed, as he couldn't handle watching his mother and father's bodies be lowered into the ground, together, side by side.

He had been the one to find them, when neither responded to a message he had sent. He found them together in bed. Hayaku had passed naturally, it seemed, though Bastien held a small vial of poison. The latter stated in a note that he would not be able to live without his beloved, and wanted to follow him into their next life, as he had promised so long ago.

Koetsu stood next to Yamato, head lowered in grief. He had been approached by Bastien, who asked him for the poison. Koetsu had hoped it would never be used. He hadn't been able to stop crying since he heard the news.

Nearby, Takehiko and Matsuta stood together. Both had been silent throughout the proceedings, and now Matsuta had turned his head to rest against Takehiko's shoulder. Takehiko's legs curled around Matsuta at his side, and both closed their eyes.

Yamato finally spoke up after a long period of silence, speaking to all, though his head was lowered, "I believe that... they would not want us to grieve for their passing, but to celebrate their life. I know that they have found each other, and are together again... They're walking through endless gardens together."

Cried like, the entire time I worked on this, and even more while trying to write out that little blurb, so I'm sorry if at times it makes no sense~

I cry every time I think of these two now, ever since we decided they would die fairly young. Wifey knew she wanted Hayaku to pass peacefully, in his sleep, his battle wounds finally getting to him. I always knew that Bastien would follow Hayaku into death the moment the other passed. He's afraid of pain, however, and would've decided on poisoning himself early.

These two loved each other very much though. So I can be happy at least, knowing they lived well together, they raised two little bugs, and they had plenty of friends. They were both happy when they passed.

Some music I listened to while doing this, all of which totally didn't help the crying bit~

For Good, from Wicked - [link]
A Whole New World, from Aladdin - [link]
Can You Feel the Love Tonight, from the Lion King - [link]
Dig A Little Deeper, from Princess and the Frog - [link]

Listened to almost all the Princess and the Frog soundtrack, actually. And a bunch more Disney songs, but those were the ones that stuck out the most to me.

Hayaku (c) to ~TheForbiddenFox
Bastien (c) to me.
