I make Memorial day my day (usually turns into a couple) to remember all the things I'v seen, done, friends, alive and gone. Bet they are all staking out our new barracks. Sleep well Corporal Weaver, USMC.

I hear you Gunny... I have been out of the Corps since 1995 but now I work for the 160th SOAR. Fortunately and unfortunately I am still seeing the good and the bad that comes with it. Memorial services I will never get over...

This picture makes me get weepy. THat's a good thing. If we stop caring about these heroes, we're all doomed. They die just so we can live in a free land. There need to be more pictures like this for everyone to see.

I love your comment that goes along with this picture. Not a lot of people realize how selfless this act is. They do this for our country and the people in it and it's a beautiful thing.

This is such a beautiful shot. It invokes such powerful emotions in the hearts of people. I know many young men in the Marines, and one in the Army. My best friend's brother just came home last month from his tour in Iraq. One of his friends was killed early this year. We, who are left behind need to see the honor and love given to those who have fallen. This shot means a lot. Thank you for taking and sharing this shot. Thank you as well for serving our country.

You are very welcome. The honor was all mine. I can't help myself, everytime I am near one of these places I must stop in and pay my respects.

I agree with sleepyheadβs comment. The photo has sentimental feeling behind it to make the coldest heartβs become human. Very nice, and I applaud you.
