An horrible and strange sight, not unusual these days but still, I think the world will never be able to completely accept this as the new world's order. The dead keeping an eye on the living, constantly monitoring their ways with a watchful eye. Surveiling and if needed hunting the humans that threaten the course of nature. It has been months since the first undead creature appeared, in the middle of a park, and stood its ground. Beaten, shot by the police and the occasional group of teenagers testing their carelesness, in both situations, the result was the same, lives taken or bones broken. Eventualy the army took care of it the way it usually does.. But more and more appeared. The corporations were the firsts to disapear. It became clearer to us that these creatures were driven by a unified will, strengthened by death. The soil in which they once rested had been poisoned and mistreated so much so that something happened, living beings, us, we were deemed not fit, wise enough to control the planet. We had become the cattel and the dead our sheperds.

Some of us fought to reclaim what we thought we own and look at what happened to them.. Old Torrance here, fought to reclaim his part of the bayou from the dead..in a strange and twisted way, he did but also lost his claim on his life and humanity for a higher purpose.

Here's the portrait I have been working on of a voodoo inspired zombie! I don't draw enough zombies and undead creatures as much as I used to as a kid. Probably because of the oversaturation of the creature in every kind of media but with this one I went back to what I felt was more intriguing, the voodoo kind of zombies. But with a little twist, they are dead and protecting the world from itself.

I detailed this one maybe a bit too much, I had troubles to see the details once done with it haha But here it is, I hope you will enjoy it and let me know your thoughts on it.
