Oh nice! I've gotten two nice nines so far, but I can't seem to break into double digits. So do you go bow or gun or both? I really enjoy bow season these days, but I usually get a nice doe with that. They are tastier anyhow in my opinion. Here we are more populated, so we aren't allowed to hunt with long range guns for deer, just shotguns and pistol caliber rifles. I've taken to using my 357 lever gun for firearms season recently, I really like it.

I use a 243 wssm. We are pretty much an hour from civilization and that's a very very very small civilization when we go hunting anyway lol. Never used a bow but have friends that do.

Oh Nice...I don't think I've ever shot one of them before. I've got a .223 AR that I use for long distance target shooting and plinking around and stuff though, I bet it's pretty close to that, just a little bigger. The bow is a lot of fun, but you do have to be extra sneaky with it.

That's cool! I want one that shoot farther though. But it's fun to shoot. I'm trying to get my friends to go target shooting cause they've never shot before, except for one of them.
Yeah, I can imagine it would.

I'm good for about 200 yards, and haven't shot too much out past that. Then you gotta get your nerves of steel on, and hope a mosquito doesn't buzz your ear.

Lol exactly. This past season we saw this bull but he was so far away we couldn't get him. I think they went through like 20 rounds lol! I'm sure it sounded like a war!

Yeah he was spinning trying to figure out where to go. We hiked up to where he was and you could see it all in the dirt but never did find him D:

Haha the ones at my place out in the country are the same way...this one was in town, they are a lot more used to people in town. I bet we have 50 acres of woods between the two family farms on top of 400 acres of pasture and fields, and I have to go snooping around town to get my best deer pictures...go figure huh?

I've seen him a few times now, though not every day...I'm hoping to catch him then too, would be pretty neat to get a video of him acting all big and bad then.

I imagine he will living in town with a lack of natural predators. His biggest worry is probably looking both ways before he crosses the street.

Ha ha oh man I wish!! He lives in town in a city park right next to my work of all the irony! I saw him out there again today and took some more pics, just haven't got them off my camera yet. Today there was another 8 pointer with him. There's something good under this tree they keep going to and eating from.

SUPER shot! (I just recently moved to a country home nestled in the woods with a Tree Farm/Nursery and a RIVER nearby .... See these go by FEET away off my porch deck and back windows).

ha ha nice! I live out on a farm, but our country deer seem a little more wary of people than the city ones around here do.

The wild animals on our farm are much more wary of people, and harder to get close to. Interesting how they get used to us when they live in the towns.
