Circumnavigating the walls of Castelo de Monterreal provides discreet proximity to the exclusive Parador de Baiona that is contained within its walls, and located to the left of this photograph.

A single Serin was seen perched within one of the pine trees within the Monte Boi Woodland south of the Parador de Baiona, but many more were heard shouting out their screeching and accelerated song call from within the surrounding pine woods that are enclosed within the walls of Castelo de Monterreal. A hot sunny day. Time logged is BST/Portuguese Local Time.
