Description
A quick photo stop in Seixas to document the other worldly Villa Idalina beside the N13 road.
"Villa Idalina was built in 1911 by Mr. Joaquim dos Anjos Costa, born in Seixas do Minho, the town to which he would return after emigrating to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in search of fortune and a way of life."

Seen on our way southbound toward Porto, shortly after crossing Ponte da Amizade over the River Minho into Portugal. A single Serin was singing from a pine tree beside the N13 at Villa Idalina. One of many shrieking Serin heard from the car during the road journey from Baiona southward toward Porto, on a hot sunny day. An endless summer ... so they must have decided to call in spring early.
We only made it to Agudela, just north or Porto. We spent the night there in a guest house and had dinner beside the beach at Bermelho restaurant & bar. We returned to the beach at Praia da Agudela the next morning where I had a swim in the heaving sea. We then set out toward Porto on a day of warm cloudy sunshine. While driving down Avenue Dom Pedro IV, beside Praia da Memoria, I saw three Swift patrolling up and down over the back beach scrubland beside us. It was a day of warm cloudy sunshine with a halo around the sun, later the skies clouded over in Porto.
As my flight took off for Dublin later that evening we passed over the beach where I had been swimming a few hours before.
