I love the surrealist/cartoon style! It's very reminicant of having a "rarebit fiend" dream after dining on fried cheese!( look @ Winsor McKay's exploration of it! Fantabuloso!

What sort of method are you using for your tones? just converting grays into bitmaps?

i bought a bunch of actual screens (ones you are supposed to transfer directly onto the image) and just scanned them and put them on different layers on photoshop

Ah, I tried that a long time ago but at the time, I couldn't get good scans. Maybe Given how yours turned out, if makes me think I should revisit that method. I've had nothing but problems with fully digital half tones, very difficult to avoid moire effects when resizing.
