Today is the 40th Anniversary of the film that takes place in "Another World, Another Time, In the Age of Wonder" and it didn't features any humans, just puppets: "The Dark Crystal". This fantasy film directed by Jim Henson and Frank Oz opened in movie theaters on this day back in 1982 where it involved 2 Gelfings: Jen and Kira on a quest to restore the balance the world of Thra and overthrow the evil Skeksis by restoring a powerful broken Crystal. Although, it was a family film, it was notably darker than Henson's previous material.There was a prequel TV series: "The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance" that was on Netflix in 2019, but only lasted 1 season.
