Description
Some painting I did back in 2011.The genus name for seahorses, Hippocampus, roughly translates from the Greek to “horse-like sea monster” or, by another translation, “horse-like caterpillar.” The hippocampus in the human brain is named after the seahorse (genus Hippocampus) as it resembles the fish in shape.
